Barbie-Lee is a Ngiyambaa, Wailwan, Paakintji-Maraura, Gamilaraay and Yuwaalaraay woman from Brewarrina, North West NSW. She has a Bachelor of Business with majors in Accounting and Law from The University of Technology, Sydney. After completing the Finance Graduate Program at Qantas, she was promoted to Manager of Corporate Governance. Barbie-Lee has since joined the corporate law firm, Herbert Smith Freehills as Responsible Business & First Nations Executive. She is also a Director on the board of NASCA, an Indigenous Non-profit organisation, and an external advisor on the RAP Leadership Committee for Uber Australia. Her new startup skincare business is called Walaan Skin.
